Make sure you speak with faculty in the porgram in which you are applying. The other faculty or administration may not be as informed about hthe curriculum load and what the program entails. Also choose a school you will feel comfortable in, there is nothng worse than feeling as if you don't belong. College is hard enough don't make it harder by overloading your self.

I definently believe that any student looking at a school should make time to look for scholarships and also visit the school. It's important for the family to know what kind of surrounding their student would be in and what kind of academic advantages a certain school has.

College is the next chapter in your life and its a very important part because you start to make your own decisions and learn alot about what type of person you are. After the whole process of finding a school that you like and seeing what might fit into who you are, then where you become an opportunist. I've always felt that people and things come into your life for a reason, so if something you comes into your life then take hold of it. Not alot of opportunites come to you often or ever again, so once one arrives on campus I would encourage to get involved in it. Especially if it may have something to do with the major you have chosen, because alot of people don't end up finding out till after college is over and realize that this job might not be right for them. So doing something that involves your major can help you decide if that job is the right one for you. Lastly, one thing that you should always do is make as many friends as you can and never to deny someone from being your friend.

I believe that as a prospective college student you should be able to indentify a college's strength and weakness and if you can handle either of the two now knowing about them. I also believe students should really be able to spend time on the prefered campus and to be able to socialize with upperclass man who can speak upon experience as a current student at the college or university. Life is gem that human beings should appreciate and some are not as fortunate as others, so if you have the chance to pay for college, take the opportunity and treat it as if it was a family member or close friend. I wish I had the opportunity to not have to struggle paying for college but like me I have no problem with a challenge towards life and I think all college students should know that college is a time to enjoy and most of all EXPEREINCE!

When trying to decided on what college you want to go to you first have to decide, at least I had to, if its a big school (like a university) or a small school, that would be best for you. I knew right away that I wanted to go to a small school because my high school was small, and I just dont think a university would be a good place for me. You also need to decide how far you want to be from home, because a lot of people think that they'll be fine, but than they go some where really far from home and cant go home till Thanksgiving or Christmas. Once you have gotten to college though it can be the best time of your lives. You will soon meet the people who will make you wonder how you ever lived without them. Than you will have so much fun that soon you wont want to go "home", I say home like that because it maybe your real home, but once you live at school for a while you start calling that your home. And once you do leave you cant wait to get back.
