The best thing about Morgan is the diversity of people that you will meet. I would change the school so that everyone has more school spirit and is more willing to get involved. However as is, Morgan is still a great institution. It is surrounded by other colleges and universities and Baltimore is a very lively city!

Though so many the best thing about Morgan State University would have to be the relationships our professors allow students to build with them. Morgan's professors look at the students not as another number but as a student who is eager to progress in higher learning and the will work with you in order to get you where you need to be.
I would only change one thing about Morgan and that would be its regress with co ed housing, our university is slightly behind in this area.
In my opinion Morgan's Campus is just right in size. Any place you would need to go on campus is easily accesible, you could walk to any class or take our campus shuttle system that comes every 15-20 minutes.
People react differently when i tell them i attend Morgan State University, but all reactions are positive.
I spend most of my time at Morgan in the dorm building Blount Towers, I work here as a Resident Assistant. I also live in this building, it holds 750 women, has a research lab, as well as a computer lab. This building is directlt across from the dining hall, and very close to main campus, this makes it very easy to attend to everything i need here at Morgan.
My opinion on our administartion is that our administartive team led by Dr. Wilson, is an amazing effficient and effective team.
The amount of school pride on or campus is overwhelming, our university bleeds orange and blue. We are one big bear nation.
There is nothing unusual about Morgan other than its an open campus.
One experience I'll always remember at Morgan would have to be our "I love Morgan Day". Which is where our university acknowledges how much we love every part of our university.
Majority of the complaints that students have based around the campus being open and safety inregards to that.

Its definitely not a college town.

One thing I would change about my school would be the school's faculty that work in the financial aid office, registration office and Bursar office. The people who work in these offices are rude and they act as if they do not want to help you. When I tell people I go to my school they usually ask why I chose to go to such a mediocre university. There is not a lot of school pride. Something very unusual about the school is that even though its a HBCU, there is no unity amongst the students. The most frequent student complaints is about the staff in the financial aid office, bursar office, and registration office.

Morgan State University is a community characterized by the word diversity. If you are looking for a college that defies the word racism to a large extent, then Morgan is the place to be!
As a Morgan student, you can expect the essential one on one contact with your teachers that is missing from the so called 'big schools'.
The population is absolutely perfect and every student is proud to be a Morgan Bear.

I can say that I sincerely love Morgan. The best thing that I like about the school is the personal relationships that you can be developed with professors. This is mainly due to the small class sizes. I love that I can go to the professors office and get individualized help. Although it is an HBCU, you still encounter diversity. You meet people from all types of backgrounds, cities, cultures, and countries.
Morgan has recently gone under new leadership (new president). Under this new leadership the school in my opinion is rapidly improving and growing. There have been many changes already with an on-campus bank and landscaping improvements. The president is visible on campus and is very receptive to complaints and criticisms during town hall meetings.
One thing that I would change is the customer service that is displayed in some offices such as financial aid. I would also like to have more on campus food options. These sentiments have been brought up at town hall meetings and are being worked on.

The best thing about Morgan State is the various opportunites and experiences you will receive at Morgan. Morgan is a gateway to success! The faculty and staff at Morgan are dedicated to doing whatever it takes to see their students succeed. One thing i would change about Morgan is the open campus. I feel if the campus was more closed and private the students and staff would feel safer. I feel the size of Morgan is good. Many other universities have 20-30,000 students. Morgan has approx 7,000 which I feel is a good number. When I tell people i go to Morgan a lot of people's first words are "WOW". They recognize Morgan for its great worth. Most of time is spent in my room or the library, i try to catch up on studying and sleeping as much as i can. Morgan has a great amount of school pride!! at every game the cheerleaders, mascots and student body are there to cheer on our bears!!

The best thing about my Morgan State University is that it is very interactive and there are a lot of activities and organizations you can participate. You just have to stay active and be social. The one thing I would change is the classes that are offered each semester because it can hold students back from getting credits and seniors to graduate. When I tell people what school I go to they usually have bad reactions like "eewwww" and "sorry to hear that," or that we are a "party school." There may be a lot of parties thrown at Morgan, but you have the choice of going to parties or staying in and studying. Morgan is a better school than a lot of people give credit for. We are one of the top engineering school in America and we have a great communication program offered. There are a lot of other good majors offered too. I spend most of my time in the communications building because that is my major and I am an anchor for WMSUTV, the television station at the school. The school administration is great. They may mess up here and there when it comes to financial aid but they always will work with you until they get it right. The biggest controversy on campus was a robbery on campus. It is best that you always walk with a group of people at night because you never know what will happen. The school pride is growing and getting better each semester. This fall semester's pep rally was a full house and the basketball games are packed with faculty, staff and students as well. The most frequent student complaints have been about the construction going on on campus. This is a problem for students because not only do we have to listen to the noises all day, but we also have to take detours and different routes to classes that we usually do not have to do. Although it is annoying at times, the campus is turning out to look very nice.

My overall opinion of my school is that it is a great school if you know how to apply yourself and have the right motives. The best thing about Morgan State University is the students really make you feel safe and welcomed from day one starting with the Access Orientation Program. The students really make this school. Whenever there are controversial issues on campus you can rely on them to come together which really gives it a close knit community type of feel. The faculty in the dining areas help with that too and will ease the pain of missing homecooked meals. Another thing I find unique about Morgan State University is the location. Baltimore City has a shuttle bus service that is called the Collegetown shuttles that carries students, for free with a proper ID, to several colleges and other main locations in Baltimore. For an example Walmart, the mall, Chipotle, and popular shopping center. This really gives Baltimore a college town vibe along with the diverse discounts you get from local stores for being a college student.
Morgan like other universities and colleges does have its problems. Going through the financial aid process and dealing with the people over in the financial aid offices can be a hassle and start to feel like a class in itself. Also, when it comes to some weekends, campus can start to look like a ghost town somewhat because a lot of the student body are from nearby areas. Another thing that is not so good for me, being that I am a sports fan is that some of the games whether it is basketball or football can start to lack pride and attendance. That has begun to change in the last couple of years though so it hopefully will not be a problem that Morgan maintains in the years to come.
I like my school. I love the diverse things I have been able to experience here. Morgan State University has really helped me to mature and open my eyes towards a promising career.
