I came to Midwestern State University thinking college was going to be like high school, just without parents. I wasnt thinking about classes or studying. Little did i know i would be spending countless hours at the library and all nighters cramming before a test. I wish i wouldve known before coming to this school that it's not all fun and games. I wish I had known how the admissions process worked. Once you get that figured out then everything else is pretty easy. The classes aren't too hard, you just have to show up and put forth some effort in order to pass. I also wish I would have known more about how diverse the professors are. They all have there own style of teaching. Some can be tough, while others, laid back. The bottom line is college isn't as hard as I thought it would be. You just have to try.

I wish I had realized what an investment my education really is. There came a point where I had to sit down and decide if a college degree was important to me because it isn't something that I can take lightly. It is expensive and if I am not willing to put in time and effort I quite frankly shouldn't waste the money. So needless to say I established that it was crucial to my future plans and something I cared enough to take seriously.
