What do you consider the worst thing about Midland University? Why?

Gabby

Since I described how attending a smaller sized college was super great, it can also be seen as a downfall. You know everyone everywhre you go. Which makes you not want to just roll out of bed and head to class because people will remember if you had bed head or a wrinkled shirt. The size of the school can be seen either good or bad, or in my case, a little of both.

The worst thing about the school is the sidewalks. When it rains the sidewalks flood and we are forced to walk in the puddles or in the soaking wet grass.

Emily

The worst thing about Midland is the expenses. There are a number of people that cannot afford to attend Midland, even though they love it there. However, Midland offers many scholarships that cover a fairly large amount of the cost.

Midland--now changed to Midland University-- has recently had a huge boost in student population(helped by Dana closing?) The worst thing I could say about Midland is the fact that they are considered a University but as far as I know, they are still private...making tuition ridiculously expensive. Because of the expensive tuition, I am not in a financial position to pay for housing, so I am an off-campus student. I hold a great scholarship through the Arts Program, but this coming year, I still have to pay in $2,200 each semester. Can you say stress?!

What I consider the worst thing about my school, Midland University, is the students that have a negative attitude from the first time they set foot on campus. Midland isn't perfect, I don't believe any school out there is or ever will be, but even though it has its negatives I love my school and it means a lot to me. My advice to prospective students would be to come in with a smile and a positive attitude; be friendly and buy into the culture, trust me Midland is a special place once it grows on you.

The worst thing about my school is that the price to attend is so high. I understand that to keep such a fantastic school running, and to continue providing such great opportunities to the students, the price must be high to acccount for that, but I am worried about how I will pay for my upcoming years as a student there.

Everyone always leaves on the weekends. This sucks because it's hard to find stuff to do.

Andrew

The worse thing about my school is that there is no diversity here. Most of the kids are all small town kids who have never even seen a black person before. there is no room here to expand your cultural diversity.

Dana

The worst thing about our school is that we lose a lot of staff every year. It's hard to have new faculty all the time because it takes them awhile to get into the groove of how the school runs things.
