Lack of public transportation since it is a big campus.

Being away from my friends from home.

They don't give enough financial aid to people that really need it.

The worst thing about my school is the required base level courses. The reason I say this, is due to the fact that I originally came from a two year institute. When transfering from community college alot of my credits didn't transfer, so this ment I had to take a lot of classes that I had already taken over again.

tuition and none of the classes are very challenging

The new laws reguarding rioting. This place is kind of known for rioting ever since the 90's when the students used to trash stuff. Technological advances have allowed the police to punish people that really don't deserve it. Not only that some of these students may not attend another Michigan university for 2 years! With that said it's becoming a little astringent. Among other things there's a decline in financial aid and an increase in tuition costs which is causing an uproar, pair this with the end of affirmative action and you've got trouble.

Student employment is kind of a joke once you get into it. There are opportunities available, but the cafeteria for instance goes through students like crazy. Their turn-over rate is too high, and cafeteria service and opinion of it suffers because of it. Students shouldn't be used just for grunt work, or if they are, at least make it worth their wile by having decent attitudes.
