Mary
A person who hates religion and cannot handle people expressing their faith. My school is a Lutheran school and often times we pray and express faith at college events. Someone who doesn't like personal attention or the small school feel should also not attend. Luther is a smaller school and has a lot of individual attention from professors. It would be difficult for a student to slack off or skip class and not be noticed by the professor.

A person who wants a big-school experience should not attend Luther. Luther is a small school, not too small, but you will recognize people around campus very often. Also, Luther is in a smaller town so someone who goes here needs to be okay with not being around many stores, malls, and restaurants. Finally, Luther is a very expensive private college. The financial aid is very helpful, but it is still pricey after the grants from the school.
Christine
Someone who doesn't enjoy music or eccentric intramurals like Quidditch and ultimate frisbee should stay away from Luther College. Also, if someone isn't looking for the "community feel" or neighborly kindness wouldn't like it here. Not to mention, a person who doesn't enjoy a view of beautiful nature and majestic bluffs shouldn't attend Luther. If they aren't into enviromentally conscious efforts in everday life, they might now want Luther. And finally, if a student does not desire personal attention or constant availability from professor, they might want to take Luther off of their list.

Students attending Luther are bright and come from the top of their graduating class. They are outgoing and often think outside the box. Students come from a very diverse background, they have been and done so much. They are well rounded students who have a sense of direction in life. Students who should not attend Luther College; should be lazy, unwilling to challenge their own ideas, not friendly, closeminded, and a bad person overall.
Beth
If you need a large, busy metropolitan area Luther is not the school for you.
Jacob
A person should not attend this school if they have no ambition to succeed or lack confidence to branch out to the student body. Academics are challenging. Because classes are so small, if a student begins to skip class, it is recognized by the teacher and the student's participation grade will be lowered.
Shari
The kind of person who wants to just go through the motions and have others do the work for them. The area is very outdoor oriented and active. So if someone does not like being outside may not enjoy Luther College as much as I do! Someone who wants to sleep or drink their way through college would not have the same experience.
Alicia
People who want a big university college experience shouldn't attend Luther. However, other than that I cannot think of any type of person that wouldn't enjoy their time at Luther. While the most popular fields of study at Luther are Music, Science, and Education; I am a History major and feel that I am getting a great education. Students at Luther are also very involved and there are a plethora of extracurricular activies for students to involve themselves in. I have been able to participate in groups and activities that I never would have imagined prior to college.
Jessica
People who are academically lazy shouldn't attend Luther. The courses are challenging and the professors do their best to decrease grade inflation. You have to work to earn good grades. I also think that really conservative people would not feel as comfortable at Luther. The school is very diverse and takes pride in its open-mindedness.

A person should not attend Luther College if he or she dislikes the outdoors and nature, or if they do not care about the environment. Luther has an entire department dedicated to sustainability. A person who likes to be surrounded by city lights and night clubs also might not like Luther. Although we have a couple small dance clubs, Luther is located in a small town with few surrounding cities. Also, Luther is very community based, so a person who dislikes being around people and small talk might not like attending Luther.
