Some of the professor are very encouraging and make a big impact on their students. Other professors, don't make that big of an effort. It's also hard to reach them at crucial times, such as the day before an exam. For the most part, the staff is very helpful and tries to get students to their goals. However, a small fraction of the staff don't put in enough effort into the important aspects of a student's life such as financial aid or counseling.

The college has done an absolutely terrific job at gifting me with the one true thing I yearn for: an education. Everything else the college offers is just a delightful bonus. Everyone there is extremely pleasant to approach about questions and the resources are not difficult to come upon. The amount resources given to students are extremely relevant and surprisingly helpful.

Los Angeles Mission College, is a great learning campus. I haven’t had any bad expierences while my stay there. The campus is a very mellow and safe environment. It’s staff is supportive of its students and ensures that everybody meets their educational goals.

    Oh wow, If I can go back in time as a senior with what I know now, I would definately do more research as to what I can do to pay for college and have a part-time job rather than a full-time and taking our loans! I wish I could, but I do not regret the way my career is coming along!

    Nothing very frustrating about my school, except the gap between both campuses can be frustrating if you have class 10 minutes away from eachother.

  8. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

    I wish I would have known the correct courses I had to take for my major. The reason is because I found out that I was taking extra courses that were not required for my field. If I would have known I would have saved money and time.

  9. What kind of person should not attend this school?

    There are those students who prefer to not have so much involvement or interaction with their fellow students at their school, and it is this group that I feel would not particularly get the best college experience possible. Mission College seems to personalize one's experience, even if they are reluctant to it in the beginning.

    It is a very small campus and easy to learn the professors names.

  12. What are the academics like at your school?

    Classes at LAMC are actually fun. I know I might sound nerdy (well, I kind of am) but the classes are actually fun. The professors get you interested and involved in class. Not only in class, but the student clubs and faculty advisors offer the opportunity to have intellectual conversations with your fellow students and faculty. My favorite class so far is the Psychology class I am in right now. My teacher is awesome and I love going to class. We actually laugh :) The professors aat LAMC are so awesome and friendly that I have actually become friends with some of my old professors and I charish that. LAMC is such a friendly campus and a truly wonderful environment.

  13. What are the most popular student activities/groups?

    The student clubs are very popular, but none are as big as the ASO. The ASO is the biggest club on campus. Our girls volleyball team has been doing great and gaining more and more fans at each game. We have an excellent soccer team as well. Howver, I feel that one of the greatest things about LAMC is the student clubs. I met my best friend in a student club and I gained a lot of self confidence from a student club.

    Classes at LAMC are fun and educational. I enjoy my classes and my professors and my fellow classmantes.

  15. What is your overall opinion of this school?

    I love LAMC, I have grown up here. My mother went here and I started in high school. There is no other campus that is as friendly as LAMC. The staff are amazing and the students are all down to earth. It is a great environment. Even after I moved across the valley, I still drive to LAMC for the environment, the friendly staff, knowledgable professors, and outgoing and socially concious student body.

  16. What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

    I honestle believe that stereotypes are everywhere, at your school, at your work, at your church, etc. In today's society it is almost immpossible to escape stereotypes. However, at LAMC there is a wide range of adversity and diversity and I fell that because there are so many different people that there is no one stereotype. We have jocks and geeks, preppies and freaks, just like any other college, but that is part of the whole college experience.

    A specific student does not exist in my book to attend this campus. Any kind of student should attend this campus because it is sort of diverse and should be mixed with different backgrounds and ethnicities. The students are friendly so any kind of student will get along and there should be more different backgrounds of students to my campus. Students from anywhere should come to my campus for it can be an interesting community college full of different backgrounds for in life we won't be surprised of seeing diffferent races.
