My opinion of Laney College is that overall is a great college it's in a safe environment and they also provide a lot of options to support those who need help in many different ways ranging from food to finding careers. it's a great benefit to go to Laney if you are also in need of help mentally, financially, and physically because they also have a gym and great food made by the students. Laney College does a great job helping their students.

I think Laney is a decent community college. In my opinion, their teachers are overall more thorough than their College of Alameda counterparts. Sometimes it is quite depressing when I visit the campus, there might be a few cliques here and there talking. There's a lot of empty space on campus that doesn't make the student life feel especially lively, but it's community college- what do you expect? There is a generous amount of space for student parking and lots of bike racks, which is good. The classrooms vary from stuffy and crunched to spread out and airy. It truly depends on what your expectations are that affects your perception of Laney College. It's decent to me though.

The school was very amazing with dealing with students and employees. Always open if you ask for help. Many programs to help and motivate students. School lunches and dinners were amazing because the culinary department ran the cafeteria. Lots of students eager to learn.

Laney is a very amazing overall experience. Its a widely spread community college with a minority group of people. They have plenty of beneficial stations that gives us the opportunity to build, cook and other various things. The staffs are very helpful when needed of assistance.

Well to be honest I would tell my lazy butt to get up and do something!I was a notorious slacker in High School and hardly bothered to think about college because I figured that was so far away.My first year of college I was completely overhwhelmed that I had to rely on myself to get things done and no longer have teachers or counselors to tell you what to do and where to go.It's something they tell you constantly in High School and the stubborn bunch of us don't listen but that doesn't mean your life is over.At Laney I've been given a second chance and sometimes you don't get those.

My classmates were very serious student, they had a goal in mind and they were willing to do what it took to achieve their degree. There were some that wasn't that serious. But the one that I associated with tried very hard to succeed. I was almost the older student that realized that education is a must. And a mind is a trouble thing to wasted. Far as I know they are still working hard at accomplishing their goals. They have plan on getting a better paid job. So that they can better take care of their family.

I've only been at Laney for two semesters, and so far I know that there are lots of sports teams, a Muslim Students Association, a Black Student Union, and student government. Off campus, I usually take the BART one stop to 12th Street, City Center and get food or hang out at the park nearby.
