There are multiple opportunities to adventure outside of the communitry and experience outdoor recreational activities that one cannot experience at many other universities. Also, the friends one can make tend to stay close and share their values. I have no regrets attending this university. I tell my friends that no matter where they go, there are always positives and negatives in any area. It is about getting involved and making your experiences more positive than negative.

Everyone knows everyone, and the professors really care about you as an individual student. Also, the campus is absolutely gorgeous. The gym is a perfect size and well taken care of. The distance from home forces me to stay on campus on the weekends, but that isn't a bad thing. I've made enough friends to make weekends around here fun. It also gives me plenty of time to do neccessary studying as well.

The size. LSSU has only about 3500 students which allows the teacher to student ratio to be excellent. Having difficulty in a class visit the learning center and sign up for a tutor, they're free and they know their stuff. Finally, the rec. center. I live across the street from it and I am able to lift weights, swim, and run everyday. LSSU's hockey team plays its home games here and it a super facility.

Small campus size, great nursing and criminal justice programs, fisheries and wilflife, good hockey team, and good size that's not too big.

Big dorm rooms, free sporting events, Canada within sight.
