I consider our school President to be the worst thing about our school because he doesn't seem to care about the student body and refuses to accept changes to the school or opinions of the students on how to improve campus living.

Professors of the sciences generally do not curve course grades as is customary at state universities. This makes it more difficult for our students to get the same grade , and therefore, a comparable GPA to state school students. When applying to graduate schools we are at a disadvantage unless our school's curriculum is very familiar with the graduate school's admission staff.

I think that there is a cultural divide between the students and the surrounding community members. People here tend to live in the 'Knox Bubble' as we call it. I would like to see more interaction between those two groups as a means of learning how to relate to others of a different walk of life and socio-economic status.

The worst thing about my school is that, due to its small size, large companies do not always give us attention. Therefore we do not have the job fairs and interview fairs that other larger schools may have. Instead, we band together with other small schools in Illinois to receive attention to benefit the students.

It is in the middle of no where. There's never anything to do around the small town or small school.

The accessibility of a kitchen (in some buildings) and the variety of foods available at local grocery stores.

It's size and overall lack of social activities outside of parties and drinking.

Knox gives out money to lots of different things (like club events), which is great, but it spreads thin. Several departments are suffering because of this. Also, it's a little more crowded because of unexpectedly large incoming classes in the past few years. It's great because we get so many new faces and lots of great talent, but it sucks because Knox is only so big physically.
