Kaplan University is a great school for those that are looking to broaden their future, while still maintaining a normal life. The best thing about Kaplan is that they go to such great lengths to make sure that the students get every benefit possible. They offer great programs and even have little perks for your everyday life. I currently take advantage of discounts on shopping, cell phone service, health insurance, and car insurance, with much more available, due to what Kaplan has to offer. I have found an advisor that I absolutely adore. She spent well over an hour with me on the phone talking about my degree plan, my stress about making good grades, tips and pointers about a career path, etc. To me, that is exactly what an advisor should be. She followed up on our conversation with tips that she had received from Professors in my school of learning and the syllabus for my upcoming course. The Academic Advising team changes, obviously, with every school of learning, but so far I have been very pleased. As far as student complaints, I have only heard one consistent complaint – the financial aid department. I have found that as long as you are keeping up your end of the responsibilities, there is nothing to worry about. Yes, financial aid is a huge hassle for everyone and there is a lot of paperwork to fill out, but what do you expect? Yes, they call you every day when you are past due, but what company doesn’t call you every day when you are past due. All-in-all, the financial aid department at Kaplan is just like any other financial aid department. They are doing the best they can to help you get what you can. They are just a little more thorough than most. The one thing I will always remember about Kaplan isn’t that I went to a great party, or that I had the coolest dorm roommate, but that I made something of myself while building my professional life as well. I don’t have to put my career on hold while I attend college. I can work towards my goal in both my professional and academic life. I am currently going to get my BS in Paralegal Studies. This gives me the ability to take the years that I am in college, to get the entry-level positions out of the way to where when I graduate I can have both the experience and the knowledge. It is also exciting to dream about the day I get to travel to either Chicago or Miami and walk across the huge, gorgeous stage and accept my diploma. Graduation will not just be a trip down the street with mom and dad. With Kaplan it can turn into a great trip to a new place in celebration of your achievements.

I love Kaplan. You have academic advisers just a phone call away who can help you decide which classes are best for you, and what is best to take in your program. Financial aid is very quick and thorough. I have never had a problem with my financial aid. They have a technical center where a tutor can see your desktop, and you can work on problems together. They have a paper submission, where you can turn in a paper and they will give you their advice. The only complaint I have ever heard is about technical difficulties. The great thing is, I have never seen a problem last for more than a day or two.

I think my school is one of the best upper education school a student can attend. The teachers are highly educated in trained in their field, the technology system is continuously updated and the materials covered in class are necessary and informative. The school administration is great. If there is one thing to change at Kaplan Univesity it would be some of the hours that classes are offered. Some classes currently have flex seminar, I would expand that options to more classes.

The best thing about Kaplan University is the ability to self plan your own coursework, when it is completed, and the discipline it teaches you in actually getting the work completed and turned in on time. One thing I would change is how the webinars work- I would return to the old form of multiple seminar times and days where students can interact with their classmates on their own schedule instead of a mandatory schedule. Most of my time on campus is spent in the discussion board, I really enjoy the debates that are started, and learning other opinions on different topics and issues of today's world.

The instructors and accademic advisors are great at Kaplan. I would change how information was shared between the financial aide department and the student, and also between each financial officer handleing the account. In fact, the financial department is the biggest complaint that I have heard from other online students that I have become friends with on networking sites. The best experience I have had while attending Kaplan University Online is the opportunity to meet people from all around the country and also some people that live in other countries.

I love Kaplan University, I feel I am getting the best education I can. The Prof's are always willing to take the extra time with you, they are all there to help everyone suceed in the class. The classes are very awesome. They are packed full of information that is applied to the field I am looking to work in. I think the only thing I would change is the FA department. Although this is one issue with many schools, I just feel there should be some more personal attention when it comes to students who have issues with the crazieness of the FA process.

The best thing about this school is that I can do my homework online at my convenience. Seminars are always held at times that are convenient for me. Even though it is an online school classes are still small and average between 15 and 25 students. Kaplan's staff are very helpful and you can reach them through the phone or you can chat live with their tech support team on the internet. Your online classroom is very simple to figure out and all the professors have been very patient and helpful.

I would have to say that Kaplan so far has been a very good fit for me. I have started college at other schools online and at a physical location and I have quit those. Kaplan has been great and I am almost done and will be finishing up soon. I have not had any problems with financial aid, my advisors, my professors, or anything else so far. I start my clinical externship in three months and as long as that goes well I will be fine. I would recommend Kaplan to anyone who wants a great education and likes to have the freedom of classes at home. I think the most complaints I have heard are about financial aid and the clinicals, but so far I haven't had any trouble. Kaplan University has physical locations but none in my town. I love doing all of my work online.

I have been very pleased with my experience. I did the traditional school and it did not work for me. At Kaplan every class I have had is taught by someone who has a current job in the field giving me real word experience. My class sizes are generally small, some of the more general classes may have a few more people in them, but on average my classes have had less than ten people in them. You may not think that matters in an online school, but it does. Our discussions become more in depth and their is more participation in the lectures. But, also the professors are able to respond to you faster and return your graded work. When I graduate next year, I feel that I will be ready for anything. And thanks to the motivation of my professors, it will probably be law school.
