Kansas State University Top Questions

THe worst thing about K-State at this point in time is parking. We have had a parking garage under construction for the past 16 months that has made parking a hassle on campus, with long walks to the library or class for commuters.

How close minded some people are. We're pretty conservative sometimes

It is a little more conservative overall then I would like. However, I have never had a problem having my liberal views and being able to voice them anywhere on campus.

If you don't play sports and don't drink, social events may be difficult to find.

The worst thing is no bus service to the various areas in the community that students need to get to like Walmart, Target, the mall, etc. Although everything you need is available in the bookstore on campus, it is nice to be able to get out and go somewhere else. The bike trails on campus need to be bigger and the potholes or low places filled in. It is tough to ride your bike to class in the rain.

The worst thing about this school is that it's located in such a small town. I'm from a much bigger city, and it was quite an adjustment to get used to living in a place that is less than a tenth the size of my hometown. It would be nice to have a bigger city close by for entertainment and culture purposes.
