The most frustrating thing is that there is a student in every single class that feels the need to straight up argue with the professor. If the topic of their argument offered some kind of merit, I wouldn't even blink, but the topic is ALWAYS completely irrelevant to the discussion. For example: if the professor explains string theory, then mentions that it is used in an episode of Breaking Bad, this student will ALWAYS argue that it wasn't REALLY used in Breaking Bad. That student makes me want to stay in bed in the morning.

Since it is a regional campus, many people do not think it is "good enough" as a huge state campus. These people mostly just want the party atmopshere so they go to a large state school focused more on the social scene than the academics. I do not like how our regional school gets knocked on simply because we do not emphasize partying all the time.

It is hard to get a hold of faculty members or they take too much time to respond to questions.

The parking is terrible, but there is another garage being built. It is still a hastle to find a parking spot.

Group projects. I know its required and every school has them but being a single mom its not always easy to find a sitter to meet outside of my classes. Also, not living close to campus makes it hard to meet outside of classes too. If group projects were part of class time it would make things easier.

They give out almost no financial aid other than loans. Its very hard to get a scholarship, even if you are academically successful.

Housing situation. the apartments take away from a dorm like atmosphere and to live there is almost, if not more, expensive then tuition.

I would have to say that the most frustrating thing about IPFW is finding a place to park. Otherwise, no complaints!

I was incorrectly advised by an advisor on the residency requirements (amount of time spent at a specific school prior to graduation from that school) for transfer students at IPFW, resulting in a further $2900 worth of classes and postponing my graduation date a full year. So I suggest to any incoming student, especially transfer students, to read and be aware of all school policies that will pertain to his or her education and graduation.

That alot of adults use this school so they can get better jobs so alot of the classes or filled with older people instead of kids my age.
