Ashleigh

Lauren

A lot of people before and after I have decided to come up to iup say that it is a huge party school. In my own experience, this only happens if you want to make it happen. You can easily avoid big parties if you want to. I didn't go to any during my freshman year (maybe a little section hang out once) but I still had the time of my life that year. If you want to drink, you'll be able to find it probably, but if you want to stay away from that sort of thing, it's very easily done. There are also a lot of diverse groups of people on campus. This comes as a plus in order to see the different types of personalities flow through campus.

Kelly

Party School, No fun activities

Jenn

KJ

The parents are all former coal-miners. Small town with small mindedness.

Justin

That we party too much.

Jenna

I am unsure if there are any particular stereotypes specifically about IUP or IUP students. People may assume that an IUP degree is not as good as a PSU degree or a University of Pittsburgh degree; however, I feel that they are wrong. I think that it all depends on each individual student and how motivated they are once they graduate-- regardless of where a students earns their degree from.
