Indiana University-Northwest Top Questions

What's the most frustrating thing about Indiana University-Northwest?

Christopher

There is a lack of community. IUN is a commuter campus, so there are a lot of people who just want to go in, do their classes, and go out. They don't want to make this place more fun. There is also less socialization between students than I would like. However, IUN does realize this, and I appreciate its attempts to bring us together as a campus.

That the work is sometimes to much and it gets very frustrating to try and get it all done and turned in on time.

The most frustrating thing about my school would have to be the terrible parking availability. I attend a commuter college, so there are no dorms. Pretty much everyone, with the exclusion of those who take the city bus, drives to the university. This creates somewhat of a parking space issue. There is no parking garage, just parking lots. There have been several instances where I have been late for class because I have to walk a much longer distance to my class than I anticipated due to so many spots being taken up.

The most frustrating thing about Indiana University Northwest is that they do not offer enough degree programs. They offer many of the basic degrees offered by most colleges, but none that make them unique or stand out.

Rachel

There isn't any campus housing. There is no pool, swim team or football team. This campus, in my opinion, would be a second choice or a last resort for many. Some of the professors are not understanding of the outside factors that hinder students from performing at their best.
