Looking for the right college has to do with what you would want it to be. I attend a small, historically black institution. Here the classes are smaller and I like it becasue of the intimate reaction that students have with their professors. We actually matter to these professors and are not just consisted of a number. Parents, allow your student to have an option at the institutions they want to attend, afterall it is the student that will actually attend classes there. Students, pick a place that will mostly fit you and a place where you know that you will sail academically. College is a once in a lifetime experience, so it is imperative that you make the best of it. Get involved in clubs and organizations that better you as a person. Also keep in mind of the balance that you have to maintain between your academic and social lives. If the college at first does not represent you, then make it represent you.

Make sure that you find out everything about the college before u attend it. Also make sure that you're going to enjoy the university ur going to apply to.

Find a college where you will feel comfortable. Go to a college where you can learn and will be able to find the job of your dreams. The college you choose has to fit you dont go to a school where the class are very large if you have learning problems.

Take the time to research, visit and experience the campus before assuming that you want to go there. There are so many interesting things that are offered you need to take the time to find them to make sure it is right for you.

My advice would be to look into all schools of colleges. That just because one does not have a high gpa or top ten of the school that there is a lot of free money out there and to grasp any and everything you can because if you dont get it then someone or even no one will get it. People say school is not for everybody, but how can you know if you don't give it a try. Everyone talks about living the high and rich life, but before anyone can get there the step one must take first is their education with out this most jobs will tell you what you are worth. With an degree in hand and a firm education you can have a resume and tell the company this is how much your going to pay me. That I am worth this much and if you dont agree with my terms then someone else will hire me. This is the step I believe we all have. you can't always be whatever you want but you can get an good education an stress free job that pays all bills and let you enjoy life.

I would tell any parent or student that when your looking for that right college make sure you do alot of research on that one college so that you know for sure that that college is the right one so that you wont have any mistakes at the end.

First figure out if you want to be close to home or away from home. You have to remember the out of state fees and transportation. Make sure the University has your field of study.
