A person who is not willing to embrace the community and really step out of their comfort zone shouldn't attend Goucher. Goucher is extremely diverse and provides a unique community which forces individuals to interact with people from different upbringings, religious affiliations, and ethnicity. An individual who doesn't want to speak up in class and who doesn't want to be held accountable for their assignments shouldn't choose Goucher. Due to the small student population, class sizes are small, intimate, and usually involve class discussions and debates about course material and current events.
