The best thing about Franciscan University is the integration of faith and reason. The entire atmosphere of the campus integrates faith and reason as do the professors. This helps to build character and virtue. The professors teach the material to help build our intellect but also opening our eyes to ethical and moral situations. Franciscan also offers so many activities to get involved into the community that enables us to share our faith and build our moral character by serving others with genunine love. The school also offers ways to do field work.

My school provides young people with an education to aid in nurturing their developing faith life and provide opportunities to exercise their faith. It's a Catholic school, but it seeks to fulfill the truth of what a catholic institution should be, providing students with a good education in their field of studies as well as guiding exploration into the metaphysical and spiritual. It's awesome!

Friendliness and very strong orthodoxy and enthusiasm for the faith, and the way the faith richly permeates everything.

The best thing sbout Franciscan is that it incorporates development of the whole person into academic and social life. Not just one aspect if valued and facilitated by the staff, the faculty or the student environment, but spiritual, intellectual, physical, social and personal areas of life are supported.

The best thing about my school is the student body and the fellowship and positive influence that the students here provide. These strangers, that you are made to dorm with, eat with and study with, quickly become your family away from home, and loved so much that you almost want to be a student forever. The student body constantly urges each other to grow in goodness, through ministries, mission trips, studies abroad, and everyday, chivalry and sportsmanship.

My school provides a physically and emotionally safe place to learn and grow into adulthood, without the distractions of alcohol, drugs, or rampant sex everywhere. This is not to say that you could not get these things if you wanted them, but the campus is geared towards those who choose against them. That is, you still have your free will to do what you want, but the rest of campus doesn't have to deal with your stupidity.

It is passionately Catholic - there are so many opportunities to grow in your faith. The people are INCREDIBLY friendly and so warm. The campus is small and safe; the academics are challenging yet not overwhelming. There's just a lot of joy and hope which you don't normally find in today's culture. It's such a blessing and really builds you up into a strong person and helps you realize that you are indeed worth something and God has a great plan for your life.
