Tell us about the sports scene on campus.

Brittney

Sports is a really large part of our school. Basketball and Football are the two biggest ones. On game days you can always see a lot of students walking around wearing school colors. There are often parties and celebrations before and after games.

The sports scene is the center of this camps. In the fall, everyone is decked out in their best garnet and gold to support our team. It doesn't matter if it's soccer, basketball, or the biggest: football, every student is pumped to scream at the top of their lungs cheering for our team. I visited a lot of schools when I was applying for college and this was the one school where I could feel the school spirit pulsing through the campus. The sports scene is exciting and it is a necessary feeling to get the full college experience and there isn't a lack of that here at FSU.

FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL. We live for football season, it is the highlight of excitement on campus and we look forward to it all year. The spirit on campus is incredible, and we are extremely passionate about our games. I didn't think I wanted to go to a big football school until I went to a Florida State football game. Our other sports are extremely good as well, and I know lots of students that love going to baseball and soccer games, and the like. We also have our own student circus! It's been around 1947 and it's my favorite "sport" on campus.

Obviously sports are HUGE at FSU! I believe that most, if not all of the home games are free to students. In the past, they have given tickets out based on your class (senior, junior...), but this year, they were given out on a first come, first served basis. I, personally didn't have a problem getting tickets, and was able to attend most of the games. You HAVE to go to at least a couple football games each year, they are so much fun!

INTENSE. We're the freakin' Seminoles for one, so football is a huge deal, and even a lot of the non-football sports like the soccer, basketball and tennis teams get some considerable air time on the local news and radio.

Sports are huge at FSU! There's always some sort of event going on, and there is never a dull moment with Florida State athletics! Football, of course, is king. Our beautiful stadium seats 82,000+ fans, and it is guaranteed to be packed at every home game. Football isn't the only show stopper though! Basketball, baseball, women's volleyball, and women's soccer are big teams as well. This year, our women's volleyball team became the first ACC team in history to compete in the Final Four! You are guaranteed to have a good time at any major FSU sporting event, but don't forget about club and intramural games! They are just as fun to watch, or participate in. And of course, always keep an eye out for those unique sporting venues. Quidditch, anyone?

Sports, especially football, are huge on the FSU campus. There's a lot of school spirit, and almost everyone goes to football games. The student sections at sports events are always lively, and the Seminole sports teams are well supported by the FSU community. Games at other schools usually boast an attendance of FSU students, and there are always people watching away games in the common rooms of the dormitories.

Danielle

There is a lot of dedication and heart in every one of our sports programs. Whether is from our top ranked women's soccer team or, men and women's basketball teams, but by far football is a Nole's main attraction. If you are a Seminole, you bleed garnet and gold!

Jena

There is not much else to say about the sports scene on campus other than that we live for it! FSU has a very school spirited attitude toward any sports team we have. Even during our tough losses we root for our seminoles. Football games are epic for taking out any and every garnet and gold thing we own. The crowd at baseball games, lacrosse, soccer, basketball, etc is always uplifting. People wait around their computers for tickets to go on sale and go through missions just to get in some games. Intramural sports is also popular and exciting to be apart of.
