My school is best known for the band. The Marching 100 was organized in 1946 and has over 420 members. The 100 has performed during NFL Super Bowl halftime shows, presidential inaugurations, and numerous parades throughout the world.

My major is Journalism, and here at FAMU they offer tools that prepare you for the media in the real world. For example, 90.5 The Flava, is FAMU's radio station that is ran by real students and heard by all of Tallahassee. The studio has real equipment, like other radio station, so students get great experience. FAMU also offers students the chance to be broadcasted, live, everyday on the news, which is watched by locals on channel 20. With these hands-on techniques, FAMU is best known for crafting inteligent, experienced African Americans students for their future careers.

Our school is best known for our band, "The Marching 100." Everyone comes to see the band perform especially during homecoming. The band plays very good as well as perform and they have been around for a long time.

Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University is known as being the best HBCU (Historicaly Black College/University) in the land, as well as having the best band ever in the Marching 100. Along with that FAMU is home to one of the best pharmacy schools in the nation, and the up and coming School of Business and Industry. SBI is not as well known as it should be to high school students, but yet it is still one of the top business schools in the nation, and recives respect from other top schools across the land.
