The advice I would give to parents is rather simple. That is simply do not push your children into making a decision about the school you think is the best, but this doesn?t mean that you shouldn?t voice your opinion. I think that the parents should help weigh that pros and cons of the schools. To the Students I simply would tell them to pick a school where you feel comfortable. Every college is different and offers you a different experience! Visit as may schools as you can before you make a decision and choose one because you like it not because your parents, friends, or significant other attends or thinks you should attend.

The best advice I would give to students is weigh your options. Visit the school to see which one best fits you and your major. Make sure the community is friendly and willing to help.

In order to find the right college fit and make the most of the college expereince, parents and students should spend time visiting college campuses and researching those that could be used to enhance the emotional, spiritual, and intellectual qualities of the student. College should be used as a time to grow as a person, discover whom one is, and become a culturally aware, responsible citizen who is prepared for a career in the "real" world. In order to accomplish such feats, students should dive into their college experience with set goals and a sense of spontaneity, which will allow them to thrive academically and socially. Finding the right college comes with an understanding of which atmospheres feel most like home and which campuses can accompany the family atmosphere students desire. The college experience is yours for the taking--make the most of such precious years! Grow into the person you want to become and allow your experience to shape you. After all, you get to choose the person you will become!
