The best thing about Embry Riddle Aeronautical Unversity is the strong academic focus. At ERAU, you won't find many many 'liberal arts' classes or 'self-discovery' classes. The university's goal is to create young men and women who are higly skilled and competent in their respective fields by offering classes which are relevent to their degree fields that adheare to a high academic standard. Furthermore, most core classes are taught by professors with years of relevent industry experiance.

I love the atmosphere of this school. Coming from the busy world of southern California I have come to really enjoy the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of Prescott Arizona. The students here are all working very hard to obtain jobs in the aviation industry and seem to be more focused on their school work than any other institution I have been a part of. Likewise my work ethic has improved and I am proud to say my GPA is up to a 3.6 from a 2.1 I had in Community College.

The campus is small and the student/teacher ratio is low, so that you know your professors well enough to talk to them for advice. The entire school is a pretty closeknit community that makes it feel like home and you know that you can count on someone to help you in academics and even employment.

The best thing about it is that it is so small and it gives the students the ability to get to know one another, even though they might not be in the same program or the same year. It also provides the students with a better relationship to the professors because they remember you and care about your ambitions. Because of the small scale the professors get engaged in the students' lives.
