I wish before I came the the school that I had a little more background in my field of study especially in engineering it is reccomended to have at least a understanding of what you will be doing. While I had little experience in high school with engineering making it a difficult transtion.

Get your general education somewhere else. Embry isn't big on general education, and even with all the AP exams I took, there were still at least 3 math, and 3 physics classes you need to complete, before any specific degree classes could be taken, which put most of us behind in our 4 year plan by at least a semester. The school is incredibly expensive, take as many AP classes, general education courses, or summer courses elsewhere that you can. I considered taking summer courses at Embry to make up time, but it's far to expensive.

The value of an education.

Embry-Riddle is a very good school for anyone interested in the enginerring or aviation profession. Professors at the school are only interested in helping you to succeed and with a fabulous job placement after college you are almost gauranteed a job when you graduate. If you have an opportunity to attend Embry-Riddle I highly suggest you do so, you won't be dissapointed.

I wish I realized how much in debt I would be at the end of the four years.

That while the school turns out highly competent leaders in the aerospace and military worlds, many teachers in both the math and science departments (specifically calculus and physics) are not very effective - either because of a language breakdown (broken English) or inability to actually teach and relay information as oppose to just writing it on the board or showing it in a PowerPoint.

I wish I knew that it was cheaper to live off campus rather than on campus.

I wished i would of known more about the career i was getting into with my major. Also i wish i had known that the aviation indusrty is not in good econimical standing and there is not a great demand for pilots.

I wish I would have know what my finacial awards were before I came, I could have better prepared myself. Now that I'm here and loving it, I have to keep wondering when is the finacial aid office gonna call for me, to tell me I have to leave.
