Edison State Community College Top Questions

There are a couple of important aspects of Edsion Community College that I wish I would have known before enrolling in the school. First of all, I wish I had known what a college classroom was like and how much school-work would be involved. When I first arrived there, I was surprised by the diversity of age groups. It was alot different from high shcool. Also, I do not believe I have ever worked so hard in my life. I enjoy all of the work, but it took a couple weeks for me to get used the enhanced difficulty.

I wish I had known more about the teachers at the college so that I could have been a little more selective, and I wish that I had known college was not as difficult and "scary" as I had always imagined it to be.

I wish I would have known that college in general is very different than high school. In some ways I have a lot more freedom, but in many ways I now have more responsibility and if I'm not responsible in the choices I make, such as turning in homework on time, following guidelines specifically, or being agressive in pursuing my own education, then the consequences are much greater than they were in high school. That is what I wish I had known.
