The small class size.

The best thing about Edgewood College would be the size. This is a private college which means there are small classes. I love small classes because it gives the students a chance to get one on one time with the professor. Also, because the professors know their students they find ways to teach things more effectively for everyone. I find it easier to succeed in smaller colleges versus the bigger ones.

The best thing about my college is the community service opportunities available. Through Edgewood College's service work the students learn teamwork, time management, effective communication and leadership by working with one another and the community. Students learn social justice skills that can be very effective when working in service with the diverse people of our world. Some opportunities that I have been able to participate in are volunteering at the food pantry, Salvation Army Family Shelter, Mary House for people with imprisoned family members and Project Linus making blankets for hospitalized children.

The best thing about my school is the classes/professors. The professors care about the students, they typically know all the students' names. The professors are always willing to give extra help outside of class, and are willing to make compromises if you are going through something big. They also care about your personal well-being; earlier this year I was dealing with personal issues and after class my professor emailed me and asked if there was anything she could do to help. The professors care about you, which is very refreshing.

When you find an extracurricular activity/club/sport you make life long friends and there are great events you can plan amongst your peers. Also, professors really engage and challenge the student to strive to be the best they can be.
