I hate to feed into stereotypes, but as many of the professors are from the area (a.k.a. the South), Southern hospitality abounds. All the professors I've had so far have been open to speak during office hours, answer any questions, respond to emails, schedule times to meet if office hours don't work for students, and one professor even gave us his number so we could text him if we ran into issues with homework! Yes, I know. He was awesome. I've loved them all so far! I will bet you $5 (poor college student here) that doesn't happen too often.

Most of the professors are dedicated and easy to contact and communicate with. They generally are empathetic to student problems and are willing to meet in the middle if you have a problem.
