DO NOT come to Conn if you want to study abroad. They advertise it as a strength, but fewer and fewer people are being "allowed" to go.

Don't get nervous about asking people to hang out/chat/etc. It's a strange transition to college, and sometimes it can take a while until you've found your right group of friends.

Conn is an awesome place to go. The weather can get a little depressing in the winter, but so far I've had a pretty sweet time here. If you want to put in lots of study time and work hard, you'll do great academic-wise and have fun while doing so. If you'd rather slack off and get mediocre grades, you are still able to enjoy yourself. Conn is what you make of it.

you can have a great time and do as you please, you may have less friends if you choose not to drink.

Mail should be open on Saturdays, health services should have better hours, and there should be more choices for food after dinner closes instead of just Oasis.

A lot of students (and their parents!) worry about the co-ed bathrooms. Honestly, though, they are not a big deal at all. Yes, you will learn some things about the opposite sex that you probably did not want to know, and things go on in the showers that make shower shoes even more of a necessity, but most of the time, after the first couple days, it doesn't even phase you to see a guy (or girl) in the bathroom (although I can say that when I've been really tired and run into a guy I did a double take and wondered if I was in the right bathroom). If you really can't stand the idea of hearing a guy/girl pee, we do have single sex floors that you can apply to. My only advice? Don't date someone on your floor, because then running into them in the bathroom after you break up is awkward!

Conn Coll is a great place and a great balance for me. I have really grown as a person here on many levels.

The best thing to do to get a feel for Connecticut College is to come visit and take a tour of campus. Spend some time people-watching and see how being on campus makes you feel. That's what sold me.

Conn is a GREAT school. All NESCAC schools are great schools and you will get a great liberal arts education. These are the "little ivy" schools people are talking about!

It's alright but the academics here are overlooked. Too much focus on other extracurricular. And its a lot of money
