08/07/2020Concordia University- Chicago is a great college choice. During my freshman year, I was a student-athlete who lived on campus and I never had a problem with the amenities and accommodations provided.
In terms of campus housing was just as any college dorms would be, they weren't fancy but it was spacious (as spacious as a college dorm could be) and clean. If anything needed to be fixed or replaced, it would be taken care of within 1-3 days.
In terms of campus life, there are a variety of clubs that accommodate various interest and I feel like there is something for everybody. The main sports on campus are football in the fall, basketball in the winter, and baseball in the spring. However, when those sports have away games, there isn't much to do on campus, especially on the weekends. Even though weekends can be dull, CUC is close enough to "nightlife" and to the Metra, so if its nice weather you can make it downtown fairly easily.
In terms of food, it is fairly priced. The Den, which has "fast food" type service and options is by far the most popular. The Lib Cafe is like a little store that has a variety of prepackaged meals and snacks to stock up on at reasonable prices well. The main cafeteria provides the most options, with varying meal "specials" however in terms of quality of food, it would be 3.5/5.
In terms of academics, I can only speak from my experience. I am a business major and the rigor of my business classes is great. While I am challenged, the professors are always available to help me and the class structure is hands-on learning! In terms of the best academic programs at CUC, (based on my observations and testimonials of my friends) the best programs at CUC are their Education, Business, Church Profession, and Music programs.
College can be a scary time in one's life as it comes with changes, lots of changes. However, CUC's small campus is a community in which there really is a place for anyone. The CUC community is one that I am proud to be apart of and call my home. For anyone considering CUC, I highly encourage visiting campus, it really makes all the difference!

10/19/2019The overall university is a good place to study if one is interested in being able to have good connects with professors and classmates/peers. The faculty is always willing to work with students to make everyday class life beneficial to student themself. Being able to communicate with everyone will help a student succeed at this university.

07/22/2019It is a great school if you are going for education or arts. It is not great for anyone who may struggle academically. The support system is not there and it is very difficult to get in contact with anyone in the office, let alone get answers without getting the run around.
