I find that there is not any racial conflicts here at CSU and that religion is a very big topic that many people argue about around campus.
Laura
I think CSU has a pretty good mix of diverse students on campus. There is a sizeable amount of foreign students, as well as other students from different backgrounds and cultures. But the one thing that is not true is that CSU is very ethnically diverse. When you are in high school and researching colleges, most of the promotional materials for CSU will show pictures that include students of many different races. This sort-of "false advertising" can make you believe that CSU is very high in diversity. Yet, it is not. The figures are something like, 75 percent of students are white, and maybe 8 percent African-American, another 8 percent Asian and maybe 4 percent Hispanic. CSU is definitely predominantly white, and always tries to show the community that they are more diverse than they really are.
But, I still believe that regardless of race, sex, religion, or cultural upbringing, most students on CSU blend together very well. There is at least one defining nature of CSU students: They all hate those dirty trust-fund hippies down the road in Boulder at CU.

I feel like CSU is a fairly liberal school. Activities involving different groups and subjects are always being held, and students seem very comfortable with their surroundings.
Cameron
Students are really from everywhere. The campus is mostly white, but we have white hicks, white suburbanites, white upperclass. The black kids seem to group together but have friends of other ethnicities.
Madelyn
there is a fair variety of students at CSU. my experience as a first year student, whoever is in your hall is your main group of friends, regaurdless of where you come from what your ethnicity is or sex.
Greg
There is plenty to engage in here at CSU, anything from religion to sporting events. if you do not participate then you can watch...
