Austin

The freshman year, or Knob Year, where it tests u in all aspects: metally, physically, and emotionally.

Julius

Having to schedule time for schoolwork as well as physical fitness and social events. Added cadet responsibilities can put more pressure on all of these areas, especially when in leadership positions. It is the real-life assessment of different opportunities and learning how to balance them that creates a responsible and well rounded graduate.

Freshman year is by far the most frustrating thing i have done in my life at The Citadel. Freshmen are not treated well, but it is nothing personal. Freshmen are required to uphold high standards physically, academically, and militarily. Freshmen are tossed in to a system that molds young people into well rounded individuals and principled military leaders. For some the system is too hard and choose to quite; but others like me endure the challenging system and once complete; thankfull for it.

John

Joel

The administration can be overly strict.

Thomas

The school is not flexible enough about working off campus.
