Christopher Newport University Top Questions

I brag about how my schools newer dorms. We have air conditioning. We even get our own bathrooms, and most of the dorms are carpeted. Included (per student) in the room is a bed, a dresser, a wardrobe, and a desk. Each room is also given a telephone and 1 microfridge. No metal keys, our cards swipe to get into our rooms. These rooms are also fairly big compared to other schools. Freshman housing is the only housing that doesn't have a common area with 2 chairs and a couch. Nice and new.

Awesome atmosphere - small campus, close knit dorm life, easy access professors - very comfortable - no home sickness here!!

I brag about the location to the beach, Busch Gardens, and Colonial Williamsburg. I brag about the friendliness of the people and the great food. I brag about the dorms, the library and the academic buildings. I brag about the professors and the people.

The biggest thing that Christopher Newport has that other schools seem to be lacking in is the sense of belonging and being part of a larger body so you cannot get lost in the system and just be a number.

The Noland Trail! I love running the 5 miles... 6 if you start at our gym. We also have the Ferguson Center for the Arts that BB King played at (and bragged about too).
