I have been in college for 2 years now. I started out going for psychology, and then switched to nursing. In high school I was unsure of what I wanted to do with my life. My family always pressured me to make the decisions they wanted for me. My mom is a nurse and although I knew I didn't want to be a nurse I felt extremely pressured to do it. After my second year in college I decided I was not going to listen to my family. It is not their life and their career. I need to do what I have a passion for. My grandma died last month of cancer. She always told me to do what I want and be what I want to be. After she died I realized she is right. I have an extreme passion for cosmetology. I am dedicated to becoming a hair stylist. However, cosmetology school is very expensive. If you gave me the scholarship you'd be giving it to someone who deserves it and will use it for what I am so passionate about. thanks!

Honestly... I'd much rather go back in time a little earlier than just my senior year in High School. Sophmore or even freshman year would have been more helpful. I retain knowledge when its learned first, then repeated a number of times. As a freshman, I would of had three more years to prepare for the transition. I'd tell myself that college wasnt going to be a route that id wanna take at first, but after curtain events in my life, my mind would quickly change after realizing the reality of a better tomorrow. Altough senior year is the best time to talk about college, personally I think its a little to late. Information prior to even thinking about enrolling into a college can be abundent and overwhelming at times. I'd tell myself that its important to take college seriously at such a younger age so that the decisions you make are what you wanted and what you can be proud of in the future. If i had a chance to back in time to my senior year, I'd wish i could re-live my freshman year.

I would tell myself to just keep on going. Even though it seems like a lot to take on as time goes by it gets easier and in the end its worth it.

I would tell myself, that life is not easy. You will experience some bumps and twists and turns, on a road that never ends, but never give up. There is always a better choice, and a better option out there to make your life an easier life to live... to cherish the ones you have closest to your heart, remember all the good times, and try to forgive and forget the ones who cause the bad, and sometime that person is yourself. Always take the option that seems harder, because you will find it is easier in the end.

There are so many things I would tell myself!!! I would tell myself to research every school that has had some spark of interest and see which college or univeristy is the best fit for educational needs. Make smart decisions on where and who you live with, whether it is on campus or in an apartment. Being around positive, focused students make your college education experience much greater. Study hard, never miss class, and take your college education seriously. In the end, all of the hard work, late nights studying, and not involving yourself in the extra-cirricular activities that go along with a college student are well worth it. College is an investment in your future, invest wisely.

Start your research now for that right college! It is important to take your time and get the perfect match. Also start your scholarship search as soon as you have decided, and been excepted into this school, these funds take time to find so dont waste that time. I know a break sounds wonderful, but dont risk it. A big percentage of seniors that take a break either dont return to school, or take a longer break than intended. Just get it done now and out of the way so that you can hurry up and enjoy your new career with the extra bucks in your pocket! College is well worth it so stay an track and stay focused! Good luck!

There is so much I would tell myself if I could go back in time that 200 words isn't enough. I am a very different peorson right now then I was back when I was a senior in high school. The advise I would give myself is to go to school. Don't give up on school and go find a job just anywhere. One day your going to be pregnant with a child and no place to live. Goin to school is the best thing that you can do for yourself. There's no way your going to find a job to satify you without school. Even though the idea of college seems unreal and far fetched for you, IT'S NOT!! You can do more that just survive in college, you can thrive in college, and you will feel better about yourself than you ever have in your entire life. Don't wait until things fall apart for you to fix them, gat a head start for yourself.
