The town is smaller than most major college campus's but there are a lot of people that go to CMU. Also they have changed the standards and made it harder to get into CMU from what I've heard.

No they aren't. A lot of friends I have involved in fraternities and sororities, including myself, are good students and often times are involved with many other activites. In my opinon we are the group that includes some of the most successful indivudals, who get involved with many events on campus and are very knowledgable.
