I would tell myself to go to a community college first instead of a 4 year college. The cost is lower and it would have been better to start off in a smaller enviroment without many distractions.

Study hard and get great grades and don't worry about having a busy social life.

I would tell myself to get myself in gear and to cease the habit of procrastination. That has always been my issue throughout my high school days. I would wait until the night before to get a big project/homework assignment done, then the next day, either I walked into class all tired out or was unable to complete the assignment, and turned in some half-hearted mess which was unacceptable. Procrastination did not help my big transition from high school to college, either. Heck, I thought it was going to be the same; but was I ever wrong! For example: my freshman year of college, I played video games when I should have been studying, and waited until the night before to complete work. In an English class i enrolled in, we had to complete 5 journal entries throughout the semester, consisting of 300 words each; and all were due the last day of class. So, I waited until the night before to do it all. I stayed up until 6 in the morning, writing, and missed the deadline by a minute. The advice i'd give myself would be to work now, and play later.

If I could give my high school senior self advice, I would recommend taking a year off before going to college. I jumped into it because I felt pressured to do so, and I ended up spending A LOT of money that didn't need to be spent. Although I do not regret going to school right away, because I had some amazing experiences before I transferred schools, sometimes I wish that I had waited. I would tell my senior self that working and saving up money for school for a year was a good idea, that I should take the time to explore more options and get to know myself better before making the decision.

If I could go back in time and give myself advice I would have alot to say. I would tell myself to pay more attention to my school work, actually study hard, and not just be looking for a good time partying. I would also tell myself to learn how to better manage time because college is completely different from highschool. College provides more challanges, distraction, and bad influences. To summarize my speech if I could see myself my senior year in highschool, I would simply tell myself to focus harder and not goof off.

If you cant afford a four-year institution, GO TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE!!!! Face it, you have to pay for your education by yourself! Save money on college applications and focus on what program of study you want to obtain a degree. RESEARCH everything from : on-campus housing, credit hour costs, credits that transfer, book prices, local jobs, campus jobs, student-to-teacher ratio, SGA & other organizations, all ther way down to is cafe food good?. Once you narrow down what college has your degree, the best college for your degree, over-all cost, if the degree takes 4 or 5 years, and the city life. Then, dedicate youself to NEVER give up! Visit the college campus and establish a relationship with your fin aid counselor and academic advisor. Get to know the program department: professors, presidents, SGA rep. Visit the college website and Facebook friends to ask what tips they reccomend. Be social and enjoy life while learning. Remember that an education is the only thing that can not be taken from you. It's up to you to make your dreams reality by the decisions and promises you make yourself today and every second from now on.

In my senior year of highschool, I had decided that I was going to step up and do a better job in my classes, than what I had been doing. If I could go back in time, I would have studied more and stopped taking chances of luck. I gradually increased my grades and knew that I could pass if I worked hard at it. If I could go back in time and tell myself that now is not the time to give up on myself I would have had an 3.0 or better. I graduated with a 2.5 gpa and I could have done better, but didn't work hard to get the grades I desired. I attend a community college because of the cost of tuiton. I have been searching for scholarships or grants that can help me recieve a brighter future at Campbell University where I plan to attend. I have learned my lesson and gained success in all my wrong doings in school because of the things I had done in highschool. My first semester is over and I recieved a A, two B's, and 1 C and have a 3.0 gpa.
