The best advice I could give for students and parents on making a decision for college, is to look a year ahead! Time is the most important thing! I learned this the hard way since I applied everywhere late, and ended having to go to a school that was not of my choice at all! Also, It is better to go on campus tours and find out which school is better for you. Make sure you like the environment and housing, if you will be moving on campus!

The best advice I could give other people is to really know what college is all about. I ndid everything on my own and that is why I have no financial aide and am now in debt. Please read all of your papers and how the school spends their money. Tuition is th emost important aspect. College has been the best experience in my life so far. If you love the campus you will feel comfortable and at home. Visit the campus and learn where everything is. There is so much a person can do on a college campus and learn new things and especially make friends. Talk to people in every place and learn how you can make a difference on your campus and in your life. Get a report about all the necessary classes that you need to take to get your degree. Lastly never forget that college is all about you and your dreams. My dream is going to come true soon and that is to be the first women in my family with a college degree. Work hard and never give up...the best advice my parents gave me!!!

Advice that I would give to parents and/or students when finding the right college is to first find colleges that are affordable or at least offer extensive financial aid. Next, make sure that the school you are planning on attending offers your major. To make the most of your college experience realize that your only going to be young once and may never have the opportunity to be in college later in life. Work hard while your in college so you can enjoy the rest of your life. Spend whatever free time you have from studying and get involved with what your school is doing. Its a great networking experience and a great chance to meet life long friends who share the same interests as you.

I would advise students to visit the colleges that they are interested in attending and interact with some students already attending those schools. I would also recommend each student find reviews and ratings on the internet about the schools that they are interested in as well. Campus tours are also a great idea for getting a feel of the college campus. I would also advise future students to consider the yearly cost of each campus as well.

I think that there are many things that you need to do to find the right college. You need to find a college that has the right classes and the right environment for the way that you want to learn. There are a lot of different teaching styles and it would be a good idea to check out the departments that you will be taking classes in. I believe that this will greatly help the experience you receive. You don?t want to go to a school and then realize that its not the right environment for you after a few quarters. It is also important to plan around your income and financial aid. It is very important to find a school that you can afford with out feeling too much pressure about money, which can sometimes make u want to drop out. It is also good to make sure it is at a comfortable distance from family or friends. I think that everyone needs a support group, but it is up to the individual to determine what their limits are. If you are level headed in your decisions and research the campus enough it will be a good experience.
