California State University-San Bernardino Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about California State University-San Bernardino? Why?

Gissell

I consider the worst thing about my school is trying to get classes. It's quite dissapointing how so many qualified and smart students cannot graduate on time simply because they were not able to get the classes. It's a struggle that a lot of students have to put up with through school, that leaves most with a lot of stress. It's hard juggling school, work, and home already, now knowing that I can't get a class in order to graduate is even more frustrating.

To me right now the worst thing about my school would have to be the parking space. Everything is always full and looking for parking can be a pain if you are running a bit late for class. Bigger parking lots/ new structures wouldn't hurt.

Michael

The only negative thing about my school would be the cost of the fees and parking permits. I understand that the California University system is in a financial crisis due to state budgeting issues and economic distress but it seems that every quarter the cost of tuition, fees and parking continue to go up and up. The economic issues are being passed on to students who themselves are suffering because of the recession themselves.

The worst thing about my school is the school spirit. CSUSB does not have a football team and the majority of students commute from 30+ minutes away so their isn't as much energy on campus or for the school in general. Most students arrive for classes and leave shortly after.

Katelin

The worst thing about CSUSB is that some of the classrooms still make use of chalkboards which I find to be an archaic practice in the era of computerized teaching methods. Also, some of the buildings are very old and the heating systems are not very good. Some of the buildings at CSUSB could use a makeover.

As at the time of my attendance, I found that the instructors were not all that help ful to the students. There were more concerned with the bureaucracy of the university set up. I had one instructor that I found very unyielding and not totally supportive of the students where they needed help.

Nicole

The worst thing about this school would have to be the huge classes for the upper division capstones. It is understandable however why they would have to make these classes over 100 to 200 students. The capstone courses are mandatory for all students (regardless of major) to take.

Victoria

The neighborhoods right outside the school would be the thing I consider worst about my school. The school is actually one of the safest cal state school, but the places right outside the university are not so good.

Alyson

Worst thing about CSUSB would be how the classes fill up so quickly, so if you're a day behind in registering for your classes, you've been blessed by the Lord if you can make it into at least one of your top choices. CSUSB can also get really cold during the rainy season, and there's also chance of snow if it gets cold enough.

Rachel

What I believe is the worst thing about my school is that it is difficult to hear about different clubs and activities that are around campus. There is not enough promoting to get other?s to come out and participate. Right now I want to become more involved around the campus however it is a little difficult because of the fact I do not hear too much about the activities however they are out there.
