If i could go back in time i would take high school a lot more seriously than i did. I would try to get ahead in my classes so that college would not be overwhelming. This would definately help me transition into college by making sure that i did everything right the first time and not procrastinating.

I would tell myself to buckle down and do better. Life isn't a BIG party. Don't skip school. I need college more than I know it, to better my life and for my children.

If I was able to go back and talk to myself as a high schooler, I would tell myself to focus more on school and in the end popularity does not matter one bit in college. I also would tell myself to take the SAT again so that I would have been able to better my scores. Lastly I would have told myself to apply for scholarships when I was applying for college, so that I would have been able to go away for college and live in the dorms there.

Use your time wisely! Dont let it slip away!

I would try to take more advantage of all the opportunities i was given at that time, i would also give my hundred percent all the time on all the homeworks, in class work or projects and stuff like that. High School was good for me but if i could go back in time i would definitely study way more to get better grades in all of my classes so i could have a better gpa, is not like i did bad but obviously i think i could of done way better, now i just want to focus on my career a hundred percent so i can grow as a person and become what i want to better my self and to have a better future, and also when the time comes to have children i want to be able to encourage them on going into college so they can become what they want in life and have a brighter future to support themselves and their families, besides learning is beautiful and the more you know the more you value as a person, so i hope that every step i take from now help me to become a better person.

I would tell myself to make sure that you apply to some scholarships to help pay for your college education. When you get to college make sure that you focus on the task at hand and not get involved with people that are not there to graduate. There is going to be a lot of days that you are going to stand alone in your education, but it will work out in the end. When you getto campus, make sure that you utilize the wealth of professionalism that your professor has to offer. When class starts, get a tutor the first day as a resource to help keep your GPA up. Thomas study hard in high school and learn study skills that will afford you to make a big impact. The hardest part of college life is to understand that you are a captain of your ship and that you have to push yourself. Money is not more important than getting a quality education. You will have plenty of time to work in the future.

I knew my passion at a young age and nothing would have changed that no matter what I could tell my high school self. I have always been drawn to animals. I knew in high school I had to get a degree and work with animals eventually. So, I pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Sciences. If I had a chance to tell my high school self something it would be to continue in the path I was headed. If I never got my B.S. in Animal Sciences I would have never had the series of jobs that lead me to the career choice now. Mainly I would tell myself where the path would lead me and what I learn: twelve years after I graduated high school I have finally learned what my real passion is and what I want to do for the rest of my life. I have learned after working in a vet clinic for 2 years that I love medicine and want to work with people more than animals now. I have learned through my working experiences after my bachelor’s degree that I want to be a nurse.

My advice to future college student is that they should not go out that much during the first year of college and they absolutely do not pledge for a fraternity or sorority. Just focus in academics.

ismael
