My school has a great atmosphere to offer, with so many programs you can get involved in. It really makes you feel like it's a second home!

The music program, specifically the Jazz Studies major, is what attracted me most. Also the small size I transferred from UC Davis last year to take advantage of these benefits.

It's a very focused place, where students almost always have part time jobs and commute to class. This means that the social scene a little dead, but it's easy to find classes that fit in your schedule and allow you to graduate in a timely manner.

The unique thing about CSUS is that it is approximently 20 miles from my house. All the other schools i considered or got accepted to are far from home and could not afford to pay for it.

CSU, Sacramento is a commuter campus--many campuses are destination schools. A commuter school is a college where people travel to go to school and the student body consists of working people, returning professionals, people with families, etc.

We are a very diverse school with students from all different backgrounds. It is easy to find an organization to be apart of because we offer over 250 of them. We are also a commuter campus, so there aren't that many social events and activities on campus during weekends.

We are between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe so you are never far away from city or mountains. Never had a problem here.
