It is a smaller campus so the classrooms are smaller, which allows you get a lot of one on one time with professors. It is not a party school so the students here are more serious about fulling their educational goals. Everyone is very friendly at the university and the trees and nature surrounding the campus is quite peaceful.

You get more than your money worth! There is an average of 23 students per class. Your professors truly get to know you, and you will most likely have them for more than one class within your major or choice of study.

cal state channel islands is unique compared to other schools i considered because it is the newest school in the cal state system. since its so new it has so many opportunities to epand in so many different directions. its newness and opportunity waiting to happen will give the community around it to get involved.

Channel Islands is a small but growing school with great potential. It is probably the most beautiful of the CSU campuses. The campus has a great deal of character. We are close to the beach and lots of hiking trails. The campus is on the outskirts of the town so it is a little drive to shops and the entertainment. Since the student/professor ratio is so low, you get great opportunities to know your professors. The Psychology department professors are very hands on and willing to help you whenever they can.

Exceptional teacher credential program with small class sizes.

I think that our school is unique in that though we are a public state run facility, we are still able to have small class sizes and because we are a new school, we have more up to date resources available to the students, staff, and faculty. This school is able to help most students with all their needs because they are not overwhelmed with having to deal with tens of thousands of students.

It is way smaller and the students get one on one with the teachers.

Really small class size which makes it ideal for getting extra help from professors. The school also isn't in a centralized location such as a city which gives it a more tranquil feeling to it.
