Butler University Top Questions

I believe that an individual who does not have the proper financial support should seriously reconsider attending Butler University because, since this college is a private university, it costs upwards of $50,000 a year to enroll as a full-time student. I would also ask individuals who favor a college with a large student body to reconsider attending Butler University because the population of this college is approximately 4,000 individuals.

A person that wants to get lost in the student body should not attend Butler University. A student that is unwilling to excel at his or her coursework, does not attend class, and does not like to be known by first name by the faculty should avoid Butler University. As a recent graduate, I am completely certain that all of my profressors remember me and care deeply about where I am going in life. If I would have skipped a class I would have been confronted by my professors, particularly the ones in my program.

Don't come to Butler expecting good food. The meal plan needs to be reformed, which our new president has promised. Many students are forced to have a meal plan (all freshmen and many sophomores). The quality of the food is not so great, and there are few options. The dining halls close early, too, and many workers are unfriendly. Also, do not come here close-minded. A large percentage of students identify as LGBT, and most are very open about it. There are many conservatives and liberals at Butler as well.

One that is not willing to open up and talk to people. Also, someone that does not like to take adventrures and wants to do something new .

Someone who does not take their school work seriously should not attend this school.

Students that should not attend this school are ones who do not like to work hard and deal with a moderate to heavy work load. Those who do not feel comfortable with too much diversity or a fear of being in the minority. Those who do not already have a career focus.

someone who wants to get lost in the back of a lecture hall. Small class sizes promote participation from ALL students and not doing your work does not fly.

Although Butler University offers many assistance services for students, it grooms every student to develop into independent and thriving individuals. One who is unmotivated or unwilling to put in the effort to be successful in school should be recommended against attending Butler University. While there are many services available to help students academically, it is only the student who chooses to take advantage of these services. Being a college student is fun. It is also very difficult. A successful student can still have a good time while getting the education he/she came to school for.

somebody who is extremely artistic. people that are hippie-ish. butler doesn't cater extremely to them, but they do offer some stuff. also, we don't have a lot of goth people here.....
