I believe acedemics are very important at Kaplan University. They strive to make sure that you can succeed with your education. An attendance goal is mandatory each week and class participation is a nessecity. There are seminars for each class once a week that focus on the week's material and allow for discussion about the class topic. The professors do their best to make sure all questions are answered and that everyone is clear on the material. The academic requirements are set to a reasonable standard. The education goal is to be successful and get the career that you want.

The professors know our names. The class participation is great during seminars. My major is medical assistant. The education is geared toward learning and making yourself educated and helping you get a job.

Yes I do know my professors name and the friendly and helpful. My favorite class would have to be pharmacology it is just so much fun. Sociology is hard for me and that is probably why it is my least favorite class. I am an online student and I have study a lot at least 3 to 4 hours most days. I am a student who is taking the Medical Assistant program.

Classes at Kaplan are tough. However, the professors are great with assisting if you need extra help or do not understand something. Professors get to know you in the seminar and will address you by name.
Classes in the business program are challenging and informative. You really learn a lot and if you already have a job in business can really help you to excel at your current job.
Class weeks run Wed-Tues. so students are always working and studying for class. This is why Kaplan is a school for serious students, those that really want to work toward receiving their degree.

The professors do try to learn names, but with several classes and all of them being online, it can be difficult. Since I am a psychology major, I enjoy all my psychology classes. Each one is different, yet they build on each other too.
The classes are ten weeks weeks long each, and the students are given one week for each unit.
Class participation is a requirement during the seminar and on the discussion boards. The discussion boards are questions that the students have to answer and then respond to at least two other students' posts in order to get full credit. The initial post and the responses have to be on topic as well.
The education at this school is geared toward helping the students to acquire the knowledge needed in getting a job after graduation. There is even a support team to help the students get a job after they graduate.

This is an online school, so you never see others face to face. My favorite class was the mathematics. I usually hate math but Kaplan made it fun for me to undestand. I am in early childhood development. They help you get a job and learn at the same time. I do not see that students are competitive and they do email and work together sometimes out of class.

As a Legal Studies major, I believe Kaplan excels in offering curriculum that can truly be applied in the workforce. Every professor I have has enumerable experience on the subjects they are teaching, and do an exceptional job in ensuring that the information is absorbed by everyone in the class.

My professors have been awesome the whole time. They are responsive and helpful. It is nice to have a lot of the same students in your classes as you go along. The professors get to know their students and genuinely care for them. I am two weeks away from graduating with an AAS in Medical Transcription.

During my time at Kaplan, I was doing ten week semesters. This was very fast-paced, but being an online school I was able to be flexible with my class and homework. You are taught by professors who have the utmost experience and the high education (minimum Masters degree). Class participation and interaction is very important. An initial discussion post and responding to two other classmates' post is required a week. Usually participating the seminars are required; if not, it is definitely recommended. You get to hear the professor speak and conduct a powerpoint. This is your time to talk to them and your classmates in real time. Any other time is through discussion boards. Sometimes you may exchange contact information with other classmates. Most professors give their personal contact information as well.
