I would say a person who is not focused nor have a plan or goals in life. College should not be just for a social gathering but an expereince that you will and should remember for the rest of your life. I think a person who is not use to a large campus should not attend this school also. A lot of people get swallowed up and feel out of place on larger campuses.

The type of person that should not attend this school is one who is not cultural sensitive and someone who is not acedmically focused. There is a strong culture diversity on Bowie States campus os students must be willing to embrace new cultures and various people whom they may have never come into contact with before. In addition, students who paln to attend this university as a social retreat should not bother filling out an application. Bowie is a very proud school that encourages acedemic success and success inside and outside the classrom.

Individuals who would like to be involved more on campus because at George Mason University, most of the people commute so there is not much school spirit as there would be at other colleges.

The kind of person that should not attend this school is a person who does not want an education. A school is a place to further your education in order to live in the world of today. Without a positive attitude for learnin, there is no point of going to school and wasting money. In order to be successful in life, an education is needed but if the person is not serious about getting an education, they should not attend this school.

Bowie State University is best known for being one of the oldest historically black colleges in America. Bowie State University is also well known for its 20 undergraduate majors, 20 masters programs, 2 doctoral programs, 10 graduate certifcate programs and 2 certifcates of study in disciplines; such as computer science, education, human resource development, organizational communication and nursing. It's widely recognized as the first historically black college to provide overseas studies and the first in the country to offer a bachelor's degree in pedology.
