Bowie State University Top Questions

The worst thing about my school would have to be the internet accessability. Alot of the time the school site is down and it makes it hard to access your homework or turn in assignments, or see your schedule. Most of the assignments given are have to be submitted over the computer.You may have an online quiz that has to be electronicly submitted and you cant turn it in because the site is out of order. It can become frusterating.

Bowie State University is best known for being one of the oldest historically black colleges in America. Bowie State University is also well known for its 20 undergraduate majors, 20 masters programs, 2 doctoral programs, 10 graduate certifcate programs and 2 certifcates of study in disciplines; such as computer science, education, human resource development, organizational communication and nursing. It's widely recognized as the first historically black college to provide overseas studies and the first in the country to offer a bachelor's degree in pedology. Bowie State University is also home to the Maryland Center; which provides community service

The worst thing about my school in my opinion is the fact that the campus is so small. It bothers me because I feel like I've met everyone in such a short period of time. I enjoy meeting new people everyday, but at Bowie the campus is so small you can meet everyone in one day.

The worst thing about my school is the cafeteria food. The meals often get repetitive.

I think that the worst things about my school are the food and the price of houseing. The food can be better and the the number of sports of housing is limited to none. The prices of houseing is too much for a student that has to pay to wash their clothes while on campus. The prices of food at that the school store is too much. I think that $6.99 is too much to pay for a box of cereal

The worst thing about the school is the fact that our resources around campus arent as good as some of the big colleges that we neighbor. Most of our equipment is old and over used and needs to be replaced. It is very difficult when you do not have the proper tools to succed in school.

The worst thing aout my school is the lack of dorm rooms. Bowie State used to be strictly a commuter school so they only have six dorm halls. With the growing population more dorm rooms need to be added. Also, Bowie State is sucluded from everything. If you don't have a car than you can't go anywhere. The buses stop running at 9:30pm around there.

The Living arragements, I would love to stay on campus but the availability of housing is so slim and the apartment campus living is sooo EXPENSIVE! This minimizes my interest in participating in School Programs because I am a commuter

The worst thing about my school is, if you do not have your balance at zero by a certain date, the university will dropp all of your classes

The worst thing I consider about my school is the social life on campus. Although there are numerous activities to be involved in, there aren't a lot of people who come and discuss the aspects of them with you. For instance, I would like for someone who actually elaborates in giving me a purposeful reason to join their organization. In terms of notifying you of what events are occurring or soon to happen on campus, there are very little bulletins and advertisements posted. You'll never know what's going on which will constantly leave you frustrated.
