I was there for only one year. I can't disclose certain things after they deceived me into writing an NDA. I can say this though, this school is not autistic friendly. Before I first showed up, they advertised that this school had over 150 students. They actually had 40 students on campus and the number keeps decreasing. I was also falsely accused on several occasions. Before an incident that led to my suspension, I felt unsafe there. I had a target on my back. You would think that being a college for Christians they would be gracious and merciful in their behavior, but the faculty, the RAs, and the students at that time were competitive about theology. Overall it was a toxic environment and I wish I would have left sooner. Especially since I left in my application that I have Aspergers and they read over it for my first three months attending there, almost four years ago. I will also say that the president of that college does not care for his students and even said during an assembly that if we dropped out he would lose respect for us. The professors, for the most part, were the best experience I had while I was there. But I'm still traumatised to this day over what occurred, which overshadows a shred of the only good experience I had.

In my point of view boston baptist college was a very fun place. People were very friendly and my friends enjoy it. It could have been better if the design of the building and structure are more unique. The neighborhood was okay, the people were friendly but some were kind of rude.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Going from high school to college was a completely new experience that I was not completely ready for. When I was a senior in high school, everyone told me about time management skills and the increase in workload. I was prepared for all the academic work, but now, going into my second semester as a freshman at Boston College, I wish that someone had told me about choosing my friends at college. When I went to college, nobody knew who I was, where I was from, or actually anything about me for that matter. I could have completely reinvented myself and nobody would have known the difference, but I just acted like the real me, and it was the best thing I could have done. Most of the people starting at college have already matured. Friends for life can be formed, since everyone already has a sense of who they want to be and whom they want to associate with. So when starting out a college, be sure to have a sense of who you want to be and who you want others to see you as, so you can make friends with someone that you are completely comfortable with.
