I have gained an understanding of who I am and what I can accomplish. The community that I have become a part of has allowed me to come out of my shell and be the best friend that I can. In my time at Boise State I not only learned from class materials but from the jobs that I had while attending school. It helped me use the concepts taught in the classroom and gave me a better knowledge of how they work in the working world.

The past two years of my life have been dedicated to being a college student. At first, I felt overwhelmed by the new experience of college homework and projects that were required. However, once I realized that this was what was required of me in order to pursue my dreams and do better for myself, I found the strength to push forward and complete the tasks given to me. College has also taught me how to become more open-minded to the the thoughts and values of others who have come from different walks of life while never losing sight of my own values and ideals. The knowledge I have gained from my proffesors has helped to direct me in the path I have chosen to follow. I believe we are put here for a purpose, and I know that my purpose requires me to obtain a college degree that will allow me to make a difference in this world.

College has given me the opportunity to not only strengthen my sense of independence but exercise it every day. College is so much more than going to class and meeting people, for me it's about discovering yourself and finding out the things that work for you. I value my college experience because it will ,for one thing, always be a memory that I will never forget due to the life lessons I learned there. I know now that everything I do, regardless of time, place, or circumstance, I am the person I can rely on the most. College has showed me that if I want something I have to be the person to take that first step. It may seem like a simple concept, one that I thought I was excericising in highschool, but I never fully realized until now. I know now that college is just the door to endless possibilities and it's up to me to open it.

I believe it is valuable to attend college so that you can better your life. College betters your life because it gives you the oppourtunity to get a better job than someone who does not have a college education. A better job leads to more money and when you have more money it tends to make life a little bit easier. Getting a college education is also valuable to me because I want to enter into the healthcare field and become a nurse so that I can help people. You can not get hired at a hospital or doctors office as a nurse without having a least a two year degree in nursing from a college. This is why college is valuable to me.

Attending Boise State University will help me to enter into the military as an officer and will help me persue a career as a police officer in the future as well. Boise State University has provided me with volunteer opportunities to help me continue to keep a civic duty and passion.

A college experience is best thing that could happen to anyone because nowdays is very necessary to attend college because of the competition worldwide and to be better prepared for the United States workforce. Currently this is my second year in school and i learn a lot that makes me happy. I feel capable of expressing my ideas to people and share the knowledge that i acquired. However; is not easy it takes sacrificy to be successfull in college but the rewards are very good. I am still working to obtain a bachelors degree in International business. It has been valuable to attend college because i understand the things that are happening around me, that affect us directly or inderectly and i am aware of those things such as politics, economy, and how we react to the changes and situations that we have to comfront. On my experience with this economic crisis i had to resign from my job because they were doing things that don't go with my work ethics and it is valuable to go to college to be better prepared for life.

This is the second college I have attended and the first 4 year university, but through both schools I have been able to learn in a broad spectrum of things, rather than just my area of interest. During this time I have also learned so much about myself and my family because of the challenges that face you as a college student. I have been able to work on study habits, time management, and learning methods. It has been such a great blessing to attend school thus far as no one in my family or my wife's side has ever received a bachelor's degree, and it will be an honor to be the first. I also see myself as needing to set the example to all of my syblings as one's education is one of the most important things that anyone can obtain in their life because it can open many opportunities for a career in the future, allow to help others on the way and no one can ever take away your knowledge.

My college experience thus far has done a lot for me. I have made tons of friends, have had many experiences, and learned a lot academically and about myself. Those things make the experience worth it, even without the degree at the end of the tunnel. The degree in athletic training is going to help me out in life but the experiences are going to be worth the same amount.

What I have gotten out of my college experience so far is more than I could dream of. I just started attending the Art institute of California and I am majoring in culinary arts. Just from the time I have been there I have learned so much I didn?t know, not only just about cooking but team work and learning to compromise with others. Every time I go to class I learn and get built up into the chef I want to become. Not only does my passion get fulfilled but my dreams get closer. The reason why this is so valuable is because for once I feel accepted and honored for doing what I want to do, Without being judged and criticized and instead being congratulated and praised.

I learned how to have patience with the slow process of administrators. I learned to concentrate while chaos rules. I also learned a great deal about myself and what my personal values and goals are. College taught me how to think, not necessarly what to think. That is a valuable skill that I will take forward with me and use no matter what I do or where I go. I also have a degree, something my mother never achieved. Regardless of what else happens in my life I will carry the knowledge that I worked hard and earned my degree. No one can take that away from me. I now feel like I can take on challenges that before I would have avoided. My confidence in myself and my abilities has increased and I believe that it was attending college that gave my this boost.
