I decided to go to Biola University basically by looking at their website. My initial choice was UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) but, after looking at their website, visiting the school, being able to participate in events, and learning how to integrate my faith in my work, I fell in love with Biola.

I chose this school because it's a Christian university. It's just the right size; small enough where you'll see familiar faces, but large enough where you can meet someone new everyday. I also like that, unlike the other Christian schools I looked into, it requires all its students and faculty to be Christian. Everyone is required to take at least 10 units of Bible classes. And the campus was the most inviting, I felt.

I had the opportunity to choose what school I wanted to go to. I was initially attracted to Biola because of the faith that the school was founded on and the belief that it still holds today. I visited campus the spring before my graduation and could feel the life in the community on campus. I new that this is where I was supposed to be.

After looking at other Christian Universities I decided that Biola was a good place for me because they truly put God first. At other schools it seemed as though it was easy for them to put Academics, or Sports first, but at Biola this didn't happen. Also, since the school is located in LA, i've had multiple oppurtunites to be an extra for fun tv stations, and experience hollywood living.

I decided to go to Biola University because I wanted to go to a school that was centered around christ and his teachings. I also wanted to go to a school that was the right distance from my home where I could go home when I needed to but I could also live on campus because it was too far to commute every day to and from school. The class sizes were also a big plus for me because with smaller classes the teachers really get to know the students and take an interest in their lives. Also it didn't hurt that everyone was so friendly and cared about me as a person and not just another student applying.

I decided upon Biola University because I felt like there was a great community and also a great program for what I was going into, visual journalism. When I came to visit, I noticed how nice people were and the great weather, as well as the fun community-based activities they had going on.
