It's easier to pick a college close to home and it costs less. Also colleges are willing to offer more money to people who live in the neighbor, get good grades, and high ACT scores. Pick a college that strikes you as comfortable right off the bat. When you get into a college become involved on campus in order to say updated about what's going on and meet new people. College is not all about drinking, it's about making all the years you went to school count for something and making the most out of life. When you pick a major make sure you enjoy it. If you're bored with the things you are doing in class then you need to switch your major and find something that excites you. Overall, just have fun in college while you can before you are dragged into the working world.

Choose a college that fits you best, but don't break the bank.

I would say for students, because they are the one attending, to be as precise and sure as possible before choosing. It's extremely hard to change schools, and begin again. It's important to try to make the best possible choice for in a college that provides what you need/want.

Visit different colleges and talk to students. Also, get to know the size and pace of the classes. If possible talk to some of the proffessors.

The best advice to give to parents/students to find the right college is very tough. Each student is different in what he/she likes and best fits her. It is important to go and visit the college and if you feel that you are comfortable in the setting then it is on choice you can make. I would visit a college and spend a weekend there with a group or do some community service to see how the students are and how they like the campus. This way you can eat the food, see the library, and understand the different settings and activities the school has to offer. Most of all, do not pick a school based on where friends go. A student can always make friends and keep in touch with old friends. Know what is the best program for the school and if you wish to study that particular field, the best school would be with a strong program in that particular field.

Choosing the right college is a challege for students all over the nation and the only way to accuartely dertemine what school will best suit you is by knowing what kind of a person you are. The right school is dependent on your personality, work ethics, and maturity. College is going to be the first step to adulthood and many people do not realize this until they are well into their college years. It is very improtant that you work hard and commit youself to a vigorous lifestyle. If you do not feel like your ready yet, the best thing to do would be to go to a local community college and see if you are ready for university level work. Along with work vigorosity, you should consider choosing the right school based on your personality. There are many school out there, and the only way you can choose the right one is by selecting one that best suits your personality. Also having the maturity of a college student before going to college will allow you to do much better in school. so finally, remember that when choosing the right college, look at your personality and work ethics and maturiry.

I would really recommend to do a pro and con list of every school .Write down the things that are most valueable to you about your education. Be very responsible for your actions. Study very hard and do not just study to remember because you will forget, study to understand and you will always remember. Be determined about your goals and never let anyone tell you that you can't achieve your goals. Always have a positive attitude about yourself and never underestimate what you can do. Always remember that the beautiful thing about learning is that no one can ever take it away from you.

When choosing the college, choose one that'll focus on two of the careers that you see yourself in. Make sure that your accessibility to your professors is as easy as they claim it to be. Never attend college because of all the parties that you hear happens or because your friends are going that college. It's all about growing, adapting, and most of all learning. Don't set yourself up for a disappointing college experience because you choose a college that many people you know will be attending or the majority of your race and such is attending. Broaden your knowledge and your tolerance. Never settle for anything less than what you think you deserve. Just because you think you will never get accepted to a certain university, do not not apply! TAKE THE CHANCE!!! You'll never know if you could get into a certain university because you didn't believe in yourself. Most of all, have fun. Work and play. You need a lil bit of each other.
