Stereotype: rich kids, all-work and no-fun, international, and guys are jerks
Truth: it's true that most Babson students are wealthy, mostly because they are the children of business execs. And yes, on campus a lot of us women can have a hard time finding a genuine guy to date -- a lot of them fall into the stereotype where they just try to impress women with their money.
HOWEVER, while Babson students work very hard, we also party hard. Babson has parties every Thursday and Saturday night across campus, and we business students know how to let loose.

The stereotype of students at Babson is that we are overly competitive and very serious. While most students are very focused and driven, we still like to have fun and help each other out whenever possible.

The common stereotype here at Babson is that every person is really really rich and pretty stuck up. Ok, here is the deal. The first part is definitely true. While EVERYONE may not be rich, the large majority are. The second part, however, is a complete exaggeration. I'm not going to lie, there are a few stuck up kids (what college doesn't have them lol?). But, the people, especially in my freshman class are so down-to-earth and are really go-getters. Even though I am not there until August I've gotten a really good feel of the school. As far as upperclassmen goes they are sooo chill! I did not feel like a "freshman" hanging out with a bunch of "juniors and seniors". In fact, the juniors and seniors elected me to be Chancellor of the Poetry Slam Team before I have even set foot on campus. The reason why I love this is because at many schools the seniors will make the underclassmen work themselves to death for years "proving" they have the capabilites to take leadership--the seniors as Babson saw my skills and weren't scared to give me a role. It is like I knoww they trust me, and feeling trusted is always a good things because you know someone believes in you (and at Babson you will need a lot of that because you will be forced to take new risks intellectually, personally, and in entrepreneurship). Also, the entire school (underclassman, faculty, and upperclassman alike) have really gone out of the way to make us feel at home before we start our freshman year. We've planned and had huge hang out days already. Some people have already crashed at each others houses for a week at a time.We DEF talk all the timee on FB or on the phone (I guess that is because everyone says we are the most energetic class Babson has ever had). I can really connect with them all . Feels like family already. Made great memories already. I say all that to say is that NO people aren't stuck up here, they are really open.
My recommendation is to talk it up with people! If you are a bit shy, step up your game a little bit because you don't want to shut yourself out of stuff because you will if you don't speak up (and that just takes away from the experience). Be yourselffff! :D
Now how does that sound for a stereotype? haha

Babson students are often stereotyped as wealthy and arrogant/conceited. This is just a stereotype that does not apply to most of the student body at Babson. Like all stereotypes, some people may fit in to these categorizations, but many more people defy them. Our typical students are individuals who are driven, hardworking, and generous.
