If I walked into trim dining hall I would see a wide variety of people eating. The first table that I looked at would be a group of kids sitting at one of our long cafeteria style tables that fit about 20 students. The students sitting there have just come from sports practice and our enjoying a meal together as a team. Everyone is wearing sweat pants or shorts with an extremely sweaty t-shirt They are all girls, but you can tell each one comes from a different background and none of them look the same. The next table I would see would be a similar style table, but instead it is filled with kids from one of the frats on campus. Frats/Soriorities typically have manadatory dinners together on Mondays night. The table would be decorated with table clothes and all of them are dressed up for the dinner. The third table would actually be one of the booths by the windows that fits four/five students. At this table, you would see a completely random mix of four students. There are two juniors sitting there with a freshmen and sophomore. One student comes from Mass, another from India, another from Cali, and the last is from China. They are all talking about what happened during the day and any lastest gossip. The last table that you would see would be a group of professors, staff, and students all enjoying lunch together. The Dean might be eating there, the office of campus life staff, your finance teacher, you and your friends. You are all talking about different events in your life and joking around. It isn't very formal and no one looks nervous. The last thing that you would see is everyone walking around going up to the different tables to say hello, because everyone knows each other. You might see girls from the sports team get up to say hi to the professors, or the kids in the frat going over and sitting with the kids in the booths. Typically, students don't stay at the same table for long and will move around, or they will try to sit at the longer tables where everyone can sit together.

Babson is one of the most diverse campus I have ever been to. There is a place for everyone on campus. And because it is just at the right size, you can feel confortable, and be yourself.
Toby
Babson is so diverse you will literally meet people from all over the world. You'll always have someplace to stay no matter where you are in the world!

The Student body: yes its pretty much rich white males...with internationals thrown in the mix. However, almost anyone can fit in here. (PS. Babson IS NOT ALL GIRLS. everyone thinks we are...for some reason people think that and I'll never understand why. We used to be all Male til the 70's) Most Babson Students are from CT...(and thats a statistic I believe) but really, they're from ALL OVER the US and plenty from Asia. Obviously students come from wealthy financial backgrounds since our school is 48K a year. Course, there is Financial aid, and so don't assume that you can't afford babson.

People are generally nice to each other. We have groups based on race. Black, Indian, Asian, Latino, White. There are definitely distinct groups, but each group I feel genuinely respects each other. Everyone tends to know everyone else. If you see someone you don't recognize chances are they don't go to Babson. We're a small school, so we just see the same people more, but we also do so many group projects that you end up working with a lot of different people and you never want to be anyones enemy because they could end up in your next group. I think we have distinct groups, but everyone has friends in each group so it feels connected.
Jesse
Mostly American students, but a large population from Latin American nations and the Middle East.

Racial minorities: Not many. But everyone gets along great!
Out of place: computer science types. There's a lot of talking and BSing going around (after all, this is a business college) so it may prove to be a challenge if you're introvertically inclined, at first (as I was). But there's still a lot of quiet types, and you shouldn't ever wind up feeling lonely or out of place.
4 tables?
1. The jocks - always wearing their sweatpants and backwards hats, just in case
2. The frat boys (and sorority chicks) - wild, spontaneous, always drunk/buzzed, outrageous clothes, and you want to run them over with a car. Varies greatly (some are cool, some are...not) depending on the frat/sorority -
3. The quiet kids - not really quiet, they certainly talk to each other, it's just that they're completely overshadowed by the boisterousness of the first two groups.
4. BISO- Babson International Student Organization. 25-35{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of your class. Smart, good-looking, rich beyond belief, and always speaking in a langauge that isn't English in small groups in front of the library and smoking fancy cigarettes.
