Aurora University Top Questions

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about Aurora University?

Samantha

The small campus! I love being able to say that when it's freezing cold or raining outside, I can have a short walk and get to class within minutes! It may seem like a minor thing to brag about, but I actually put that into consideration when picking a college. I know I couldn't handle a large campus and long walk for a class! Also, I love the quad - it's a great place to play frizbee or football with friends!

Dale

When I talk about my school to my friends I normally talk about sports because I am a two sport athlete who loves to compete. I also tell them about different teachers like most college students comparing schools.

My favorite thing about Aurora University is the small class sizes and the one on one with the professors. If you need extra help on a subject the professors will go out of their way to help you. Also the activites that are available to us on campus is outstanding. Just about every week there is something that we can participate in and help us relieve the stress from classes. Everyone is welcoming on campus and very helpful with moving in or finding a building on campus for the new students.

Robert

I brag most about the other students and the friends that I have met. Whether through good or bad, the students at the university seem to care a lot about each other. Friendships formed become real strong with the individuals and groups of friends are willing to get to know other students. Students in athletics eventually feel like they have a second family with their team and the same goes with students involved in groups/clubs on campus. Everyone is real easy-going and open-minded.

When I talk to my friends about my school, I tell them how nice it is that the campus is small and all right together. I can literally walk to any place on campus from my dorm in less than 5 minutes. The classes are fairly small, usually consisting of about 20 students/class, which allows the professors to really get to know their students and form great student teacher relationships. They are always willing to provide extra help outside of class and even advise students about what they need to do in order to succeed in and afrer school.

Aurora Unicersity is a small school so I constantly get one on one attention from my professors. I am able to get help from any professor and they actually know my name. I am never refered to, or feel like I am a number. There are events that take place regularly so there is always stuff to do around campus. The advising staff is always willing to help. Never have to look too far for help with papers and research.

Anna

Since we are a small university, I would say I like that there’s a community feel to the school. The professors genuinely care about their students, they want us to be successful and they just come across at first impression as understanding and down-to-earth people. The enthusiasm and desire to succeed both in and out of the classroom is something the professors, the staff and the coaches all share at Aurora University. They really do look out for the best interests of the student/student-athlete. Plus, our athletic programs just keep getting bigger and better!

Jordan

I tell them that I have made so many friends. Aurora University is a small campus and people know your name as you walk from class to class. I also like to brag that I participate in so many activities such as the APB and softball programs. I still am able to keep up on my studies, work and hang out with my new friends. I have made such a close bond with some of the people I have met that I wouldn't be surprised if they were at my wedding some day.
